- 8am - 9:15am Open Practice
- 9:30am: Opening ceremony
- 10am - 3pm: Championship
- 3:30pm (Approx.): Awards and closing ceremony
Championship fee:
The Championship fee is $55 per student. The fee includes 100 targets and lunch. Each team will be invoiced by the MCAC
upon the completion of championship registration.
Scoring:
Scores and standings from the event will be available at claytargetleaderboard.com. It will also be displayed in the
clubhouse on a TV monitor. ALL teams are responsible for scoring and providing Range Safety Officer(s)
for their own team. All completed scoresheets are to be delivered to the event host upon the completion of each squad’s
session. Each athlete will shoot 100 targets, 50 in session 1 and 50 in session 2.
Patches:
25, 50, 75, and 100 straight patches will be onsite and for sale through the USA Clay Target League.
Internet / IT Needs:
There is no WiFi available at the clubhouse; it is highly recommended that individual colleges consider bringing a 'hot
spot' or other internet accessibility device from your campus to help with IT needs at the event.

Alexandria Shooting Park — 5-Stand Rules
Clear rules for safety, shooting procedures, game play, and general conduct.
Safety First
- Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction — muzzle up or downrange.
- Action open and unloaded when not shooting, walking around the park, or moving between stations.
- Eye and ear protection required for all shooters and spectators.
- No handling firearms while anyone is downrange.
- Alcohol or drugs are strictly prohibited before or during shooting.
Shooting Procedures
- Load only on the station and only when it’s your turn to shoot.
- Maximum two shells loaded at a time.
- Gauge limits: shotguns 12-gauge and under only.
- Shot size restriction: 7.5 or 8.
- No steel or magnum loads.
- Follow the scorer’s commands at all times.
- Target sequence will be shown on the Menu Card.
Game Play
- Five shooters per squad, one shooter per station at a time.
- Each station presents a combination of singles, report pairs, and true pairs.
- Move to the next station when instructed by the scorer until all stations are completed.
Scoring
- Hit — visible target break.
- Miss — no visible break or unbroken target.
- The scorer’s decision is final.
General Rules
- Do not advance to the shooting stand until the shooter ahead has exited.
- If a machine malfunctions or a target breaks before being shot, call “No Bird.”
- Keep the area clean — pick up hulls and trash when finished.
- Respect others — good sportsmanship is expected at all times.
